The Cottage

The cottage is a Severna Park and Annapolis, MD local coastal gift boutique. I worked at both locations as a sales associate from April 2018-November 2022. I worked the sales floor, specifically the apparel section, was responsible for majority of store signage, and helped with inventory and buying for brands such as Z Supply, Gorjana, and Free People. Sue Gauthier, founder and owner, awarded me with a $2000 graduation scholarship through an application process to aid my fashion and business pursuits at UGA. The cottage felt like a family to me and was where I grew drastically in my hard retail skills such as POS systems, customer service and merchandising, but even more so in my soft skills and personal confidence.
